Where appropriate, the removed mole is sent for analysis to confirm it is benign, and we share the results.
Occasionally, a mole can partially grow back after removal, particularly if deeper mole cells remain beneath the skin. The likelihood depends on the type of mole and the removal method used, and we will discuss this with you beforehand.
